I have been very happy with the knitting class, for me it has been very, very rewarding. For the women, I see great progress, not only are they learning a new skill that they can enjoy and share with others throughout their lifetime I see their concentration expanding, their willingness to give rather than receive, willing to be patient when needing help if I am working with someone else, willingness to help each other, able to accept constructive criticism, ability to finish a project, working on keeping the conversation positive. In addition, they have expressed great satisfaction in knowing that the items they make in the class will be either donated to the homeless, to hospitals, the Salvation Army, PACEM or sold to raise money for a non-profit organization here in the Charlottesville Community.
