Reentry Freedom Celebration

Hosted by members of the Community Reentry Initiative
The Haven at First & Market, 112 W. Market Street, Charlottesville

For more information please contact:

Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail is excited about our new joint venture with The Haven to begin our Reentry Freedom Celebration for ex-offenders who have recently returned to the community. This is a celebration that will provide an opportunity to include all partnering agencies, as well as exoffenders’ families, to show them that we continue to support them both in their accomplishments, as well as in their challenges as they work toward productive citizenship.

This celebration will provide the ex-offenders with an opportunity to come together, support one another, and network with local agencies. The event will be held at The Haven at First & Market every other month. The Haven is centrally located in Charlottesville, where local agencies can come together to provide support to ex-offenders and celebrate their success.

The celebration will benefit the community by helping ex-offenders be productive citizens in our community thus reducing their potential to become repeat offenders.

If you, or your organization, are interested in providing donations for the Freedom Celebration events, please contact Kaki Dimock at (434) 973-1234.

We are pleased to announce that the date and time for our Freedom Celebration dinner for ex-offenders, who have returned to the community, has been set. This event will be held at The Haven at First & Market Thursday, September 9th, from 6-8:00 p.m. This celebration will provide ex-offenders the opportunity to come together, support one another, and network with local agencies and members of the community.

We are hoping that you will be able to join us in this opportunity to acknowledge their accomplishments and possibly assist with questions or challenges they may currently have. A resource table will be available for any information and handouts that you feel would be of benefit to ex-offenders and their families.

Although an RSVP is not required, if you do plan to attend, please let us know so that we can have an estimated count in preparation for the meal.
